Thomas Keating's parents were Michael Keating and Ellen Laudon.

Goldfields Involvement, 1853-1854

In 1854 Thomas Keating was working on the Ballarat goldfields, and assisted Peter Lalor to escape from the Eureka Stockade.

Post 1854 Experiences

A few years after the Eureka Stockade the family established a farm ar Murroon, near Deans Marsh.

Family

Thomas Keating married Mary Fleming on 22 September 1852 at St Mary's Church, Geelong. She who was born at County Clare, Ireland c1835, and died on 14 April 1901 at Cobden and is buried at Warncoort Cemetery. Mary Keating was the daughter of Thomas Fleming and Elizabeth Black.
