Background
William Braidie was a carpenter who lived in Sebastopol. He died in 1914 and was buried at the Ballaarat Old Cemetery.[1]
Obituary
- OBITUARY The friends of Mr Wm. Braidie, sen., of Orion street, Sebastopol, will regret to learn of his death, which-took place last night. The deceased was a carpenter by trade, and arrived in these colonies before the Eureka riots. He took an active interest in the early mining of the Ballarat and Sebastopol districts. He was a man of unassuming character, and was widely respected. He leave as widow, three sons, and three daughters to mourn their loss. The funeral takes place on Monday, at the New Cemetery.[2]
