Goldfields Involvement, 1854
Allan Fox was a participant in the Eureka Stockade Battle.[1]
- Mr Allan Fox, who died in Hay last week,just on the close of his 88th year, was one of the men who took part in the Eureka stockade rising in Ballarat (Vic.)[2]

Obituary
- OLD HAY IDENTITY DEAD. - Allan Fox, who came to Hay nearly half a century ago, was found dead in his room on Tuesday. He was 88 years of age and was in the Eureka Stockade fight in Ballarat where he was a successful miner. He kept the Bushman's Home Hotel in Hay for a number of years. [4]
- On Tuesday next, on the premises, at the foot of Myers-street, Messrs. R, C. McKinney and Co. will sell, on ac count of the Hay Hospital, the property lately occupied by the late Allan Fox, and also his personal effects. The sale will take place at 2 p.m. The late Mr Fox bequeathed all the property of which he was possessed to the Hay Hospital, and the object of the sale is to wind up the estate. Fuller particulars of the property, and the terms, may be obtained from the auctioneers, and will be announced at the sale.[5]
