Background

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

McIntrye was tried, along with John Chapman, Benjamin Ewinds, William Bryant and George Goddard. All pleaded not guilty to the charge of sedition and riot. Goddard was defended by Mr Cope and Mr Prendergast. [1]
