EUREKA STOCKADE ANNIVERSARY - Monday was the sixty-third anniversary of the encounter at the Eureka Stockade between the gold diggers and British soldiers. During the day a party representative of the few renaming' early pioneers of Ballarat visited the now historic battle ground and discussed the stir ring events that in 1854 led up to the re volt at the stockade.
