Background
Eureka Wright married Walter Power in 1876.[1] At one stage a young Ned Kelly with a woodcutter called Walter Power.[2]

The ribbon was cut by Mrs Eureka Power, the oldest resident, with a pair of silver scissors presented to her by the State Electricity Commission.
