| + | ::There passed away on Wednesday , last at his residence, Asylum Road, one of Queensland's early pioneers, in the person of Mr. Felice Pobar, aged 81 years. The late Mr. Pobar after spending his early years as a sailor, arrived in Australia in 1854. After trying his luck on the early gold-fields he married Emma Archer, in Victoria, in 1857. Journeying over-land from Victoria by dray they arrived at Jinky Jinky on the Downs in 1882. Leaving Jinky they arrived in Toowoomba, then known as the Swamp, in 1883, where they resided up till their death. His wife prede-ceased him about four years. He leaves behind to mourn their loss five sons and three daughters, They are: Felix (Gowrie-Street), Samuel Thomas (Inspector of Eastern Downs Tick Board) Frederick (Oakey) Arthur (Muir-slreet) and John (Asylum, Road). The daughters are : Mrs. J. Byrnes (Brisbane), Mrs. W. Hanon (Tor-Street). and Miss Pobar, who resided with her father. - There passed away on Wednesday , last at his residence, Asylum Road, one of Queensland's early pioneers, in the person of Mr. Felice Pobar, aged 81 years.
