Background

Dr Henry Paul Leman was the surgeon on the ship Brilliant He commenced practice at Ballarat in December 1852.

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

Dr Henry Leman's cook, Joseph Ash testified at the inquest of Henry Powell who was killed at the Eureka Stockade.
