Born in London, England, Henry Salmon was the son of Joseph and Fanny Salmon. He married Ailcey Harris and they had four daughters. Henry Salmon is buried on 21 January 1862 in the Ballaarat Old Cemetery

Salmon was a Main Road storekeeper in partnership with Mr Bradshaw in 1854. [1]

At the time of his death Salmon was described as an auctioneer. [2]
