Background

Mullins was born around 1826 in County Limerick, Ireland. [1]

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

Mullins' name is incorrectly recorded as Thomas Mullins on the Eureka monument in the Ballaarat Old Cemetery. He was a participant in the Eureka Stockade battle and was killed as the result of gunshot wounds on 03 December 1854 . Mullins was buried on 05 December 1854 in the Ballaarat Old Cemetery and was 28 years of age at the time of his death. [2] The editor of The Times, Samuel Irwin, was the death informant.
