Background

Michael O'Neil was from County Clare, Ireland. He was possibly the brother of Margaret O’Neil who was born 1837, at Killaloe, Co. Clare, Ireland, and arrived in Australia in 1844.[1]

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

Michael O'Neil was wounded in action during the Eureka Stockade battle.[2]
