Background
Jane Pitt was the daughter of Roger and Anne Pitt. Anne Pitt was a convict in Van Diemans Land (Tasmania), and received a ticket of leave c1845.[1] Jane Pit attended St Alipius School in Ballarat East on 11 March 1854.
