Background
Samuel Thomas Gill was born on 21 May 1818 at Perriton, near Minehead, Somerset, England. The son of a Baptist Minister he was educated as a draftsman and watercolourist. He moved to South Australia with his parents in 1852.
S.T. Gill is buried in the Melbourne General Cemetery.
