William Prayle

Background
William Prayle was born at Daynam near Ronforde, Essex and joined the 40th Regiment of Foot at Cholmsford on 16 Deember 1840 at the age of 21 years.[1] He married in Dublin in 1850. [2]
Private Prayle (1578) served with the regiment for 16 years and 47 days, including 4 years and three months in the East Indies, and 4 years and three months in Australia and held a good conduct badge. He was discharged on 26 January 1857 at Melbourne.[3] He married in Dublin in 1850. [4]
