Background
- The friends of Mr. John Steavenson, the Assistant Commissioner of Roads and Bridges and Secretary of Railways, who spent a portion of last summer in Hobart Town, will doubtless be glad to hear that he has so far recovered from the combined effects of a long and serious illness and a subsequent buggy accident, as to be able once more to resume his ordinary duties at Spencer-street.[1]
