Background
Margaret (Gellatly) and her husband Alexander McKenzie Allen had emigrated from Scotland on the Flora in 1852.
Goldfields Involvement, 1854
They were in Ballarat at the time of Eureka.
Post 1854 Experiences
They had three children: Esther Ann (Ballarat 1855); Georgina Rennie (1858 Ballarat); Mary Bathgate (1861 Ballarat). They Alexander died in September 1899 and was buried at Mount Egerton Cemetery. [1]
