:Robert Coombs, retired pioneer farmer, aged 84 years, died at Molong on Thursday night. He was born on the Tichborne Estate, in Dorsetshire, [[England]], and arrived at Melbourne in 1854. Robert Coombs, retired pioneer farmer, aged 84 years, died at Molong on Thursday night. He was born on the Tichborne Estate, in Dorsetshire, England, and arrived at Melbourne in 1854. He was at Ballarat at the time of the Eureka Stockade, and was known on the principal old goldfields of New South Wales and Victoria. When a boy he played with Sir Roger Tichborne, and was afterwards his valet. [1]
