Background

Mrs. Keyes was born at Castle Connell, Limerick, Ireland, 90 years ago, and at the age of 21 married the late Richard Keyes at Limerick. They reached Geelong 68 years ago, and resided for many years at Adelaide Lead.

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

Prior to going to Adelaide Lead they lived at Ballarat, being there at the time of the Eureka Stockade rising.

KEYES.—On the 24th July 1912, at Adelaide Lead, Richard Keyes, eldest son of the late John and Mary Keyes, of "Woodpark," Castle Connell, County Limerick, Ireland ; also beloved husband of Catherine Keyes and father of Mrs. J. Russell, Bridget, Wil- liam, John, Mrs. T. Cook, Richard, Eliza and Kate. Rest in peace.[1]
