Background

Mary Faulds was from Glasgow, Scotland. [1] She died in 1897, aged 69.[2]

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

Post 1854 Experiences

Mary Faulds was said to be in labour during the Eureka Stockade battle.Nestled between two logs with a blanket over her, she was attended by her husband Matthew Faulds, while the battle raged. There is no official record of the baby's birth, but the child named Adeliza, always celebrated her birthday on 03 December 1854. [3]
