Background
Susan Pulford Blight and John Blight were married in Stoke Damerel, Devon on 11 August 1844. They arrived in the Colony of Victoria in December 1852. There is an interesting and romantic story of their journey by Sue Reid. [1] Susan and John Blight had six children: Nell born 3 January 1853, married John Harvey. Joohn and susan's death certificates record six children while John Blight's obituary records only five children. (Edith Louisa Blight had predeceased him in 1878).
